Their journey began in October 2019 when they first met at a friend’s house during a church small group meeting. What started as casual conversations quickly blossomed into a deep connection during months of texting and hangouts.

In March 2020, their relationship faced a significant hurdle when Jess's father fell seriously ill with one of the first Covid-19 cases in Indonesia. Despite the challenges and stigma surrounding the virus at the time, Didi stepped up as his appointed doctor, demonstrating his commitment and care. With months in isolation together, overcoming challenge after challenge, Didi & Jess became the best of friends which quickly turned into love.

Over the next few years, they navigated through life's highs and lows together, finding solace and unwavering love in each other’s presence. Finally, in February 2023, Didi asked Jess to marry him, marking a culmination of their journey towards deeper commitment.

On August 24, 2024, they will celebrate their love and devotion in a joyous wedding ceremony, sealing their bond and begin their happily ever after as husband and wife.
